The short version

Your photos are analyzed on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the app. Ads are served by Google AdSense. That's essentially it — details below.

Photos and face analysis

Selfie analysis runs entirely in your browser using an on-device model. No photo, face data or analysis result is transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Your photo is kept in device memory only while your result is on screen and is wiped when you leave it.
If you share a result card or create a battle link, the image / face thumbnail is included by your explicit action and travels only where you send it. Battle thumbnails are embedded in the link fragment, which browsers do not transmit to servers.

Usage statistics

We collect anonymous events (e.g. "scan finished", "result shared") with a random identifier stored in your browser — no name, e-mail or account.
Along with events we receive: anonymized IP address (last part removed), browser/device type, screen size, language, timezone and app version.
Raw event data is automatically deleted after 90 days.
This data is stored on our own server (EU) and is not sold or shared with third parties.

Notifications

If you enable the daily reminder, your browser's push subscription (a technical delivery address, no personal data) is stored on our server solely to send the reminder. Disabling the reminder deletes it.

Advertising

Ads are served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads; depending on your consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. See how Google uses data from partner sites and Google Ads Settings.

Local storage

The app stores your settings, daily aura history and anonymous identifiers in your browser's local storage. Clearing site data removes all of it.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify or erase personal data. Since we intentionally hold no data that identifies you, most requests are satisfied by clearing your browser's site data. For anything else, contact us and include the approximate dates of your usage.

Children

Aura Check is an entertainment app intended for general audiences. We knowingly collect no personal data from anyone, including children.
